I often hear people say, “I don’t go to the gym because I have no idea how to workout. It can be intimidating to go into a gym and try to use the equipment when you really have no idea about how to use any of it. How about having a game plan before you go into the gym? Then, you will feel more comfortable and confident. There are many resources you can use to develop a workout regimen. First, identify what you fitness goals are so you can create a program for yourself. Create your own personal workout program so you will attain your personal fitness goals. Everyone’s body is different. How fast you attain your personal fitness goals will vary from someone else attaining there goals. Don’t get discouraged. Keep seeing yourself as how you want to be and it will happen. Secondly, start simple and especially, if you have never really worked out before. Never overwhelm yourself! Look in magazines or online to find a workout program that fits you personally.
I highly recommend that you look into getting a personal trainer to show you the proper way to use the equipment and to familiarize yourself with your new surroundings. Having a personal trainer or someone to show you around the gym will help you learn the proper techniques for working out and keep you motivated. Finding the right equipment and doing your exercises with proper form will give you confidence and accelerate your progress. Thirdly, design each workout to meet your PERSONAL goals. Now, remember learning anything new can be intimating at first BUT once you feel comfortable and confident, your going to the gym will produce the results you desire. You can do this!
